38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
My favorite verse that I can't seem to memorize. I always get the separate parts all mixed up and out of order.
Today for prayer meeting, Hannah shared this verse. In my head, I was like, "Oh! This is my verse!" But oh man, I was not "convinced" at that point. My own life of its own desires and selfishness separated me from Christ.
The void in my heart, no matter what shape or size, did indeed act like a vacuum. There was nothing that was capable in filling that void. Cliche, but only God can.
Have a quote:
"God designed the human machine to run on Himself. He Himself is the fuel our spirits were designed to burn, or the food our spirits were designed to feed on. There is no other. That is why it is just no good asking God to make us happy in our own way without bothering about religion. God cannot give us happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing." - C.S. Lewis
amen.
